Niall Horan still lives in Mullingar, Ireland.
Niall Horan was given birth in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland. He is the son of Bobby Horan and Maura Gallagher. His only sibling is an older brother named Greg. Bobby and Maura split up in 1998 when Niall was five years old. He lived in both parents’ homes before eventually getting back with his dad. He felt that living in Mullingar was the easiest thing to do at the time, because all of his friends were there. Niall’s stepfather is from England, and he has family there. Niall Horan was a pupil at Coliste Mhuire, Mullingar, a boys’ Christian Brothers school. He has been playing guitar since he was around eleven years old, and performed around his fatherland, including as a support act for Lloyd Daniels, in Dublin.
One Direction are an English-Irish pop boy band based in London, which includes members Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, and Louis Tomlinson. They signed up with Simon Cowell’s record label Syco Records after being formed and completing third in the seventh series of British television singing competition The X Factor in 2010. Prompted to international success by the power of social media, their two albums Up All Night (2011) and Take Me Home (2012), broke several records, topped the charts of most major markets, and generated hit singles, including “What Makes You Beautiful” and “Live While We ‘re Young”.
